Val d’Isère is already known with good reason as one of the world’s best ski resorts. That has come from constant innovation, seen again this season with increased wifi coverage and the opportunity to buy your lift pass on your phone.
A ski resort that’s also an ‘e-resort’
In collaboration with Val d’Isère Tourism, lift company Val d’Isère Téléphériques is aiming to create a fully connected ‘ski resort’ that’s also an ‘e-resort’.
The Solaise gondola was already the first in France to be equipped with wifi access, and free wifi is also now available in 18 locations around the resort.

- Circuit de Glace

- Médiathèque
- Centre Aquasportif
- Club des Sports
- Maison de Val
- Patinoire
- Office de Tourisme

Buy your ski pass on your smartphone
Thanks to the many wifi points around resort this has now been made easier and means that you can skip any queues you might find at the ticket office.
That’s because all of our resort’s ticket offices now have a ‘Self Service’ area. Once you have your ski pass/passes, simply go to www.valdisere.ski on your smartphone and then select ‘Express Purchase’. Add in the relevant info including the number on the back of the skipass.
You’ll receive email confirmation and then that’s it – your lift pass will be ready!
Now just keep it safe – ideally in a left-hand pocket, as this suits the lift entrances best. Do remember though not to put the pass next to your cash card or phone as they can block the signal.
